BWG Foods has been in operation since 1972 and is one of the largest wholesale and retail companies in the Republic of Ireland employing over 2,000 staff across 24 different sites.

BWG provides a wide range of goods to the retail grocery trade, the licensed trade and the food service sector.

They provide professional and innovative services through their 2 main divisions:

• Wholesale division - which owns and operates Value Centre Cash and Carry Chain and BWG Foodservice and also operates the XL franchise.
• Retail division - which owns and operates the SPAR and MACE franchises.
